The Botnar Research Centre for Child Health (BRCCH) enables research that aims to address unmet paediatric medical needs, focusing on the development of diagnostic tools, the design of innovative healthcare solutions for young people and their implementation in resource-limited settings. The BRCCH fosters a research community that brings together physicians and scientists in multidisciplinary teams to work within the focal areas of paediatric digital health, advanced bioengineering for paediatric medicine, essential paediatric medical devices and ethics, policy and implementation research in paediatric health. The BRCCH was jointly founded by the University of Basel and ETH Zurich in 2019 and has close partnerships with the University Children’s Hospital Basel (UKBB) and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH). The BRCCH also pursues these goals in collaboration with partners across the globe.
