Welcome to the Swiss Center for Musculoskeletal Biobanking (SCMB). We are an open biobank platform that enables researchers, developers and industry, both local and abroad, to collect, store and analyze high-value biological tissues and liquid biosamples. We are participating in various local, national and international clinical studies with a focus on musculoskeletal disorders. Utilizing our long-standing research experience, the SCMB is your partner on your scientific journey, from sample collection to publication.
We offer:
- Collection of tissue samples and fluids together with encrypted or (pseudo-)anonymized patient data
- State-of-the-art freezing techniques and sample storage at temperatures down to minus 190°C
- High quality sample processing under biosafety 1 and 2
- Distribution of samples to support your research
The SCMB also conducts its own research projects in bone and joint health and thus offers specific scientific expertise in the field of bone biology and joint diseases.
