State-of-the-Art Techniques for Responsible and Valid Animal Experiments
ZIRP provides expertise and state-of-the-art infrastructure for conducting animal experiments with rodents. Its services include a pre-clinical imaging platform, a laboratory analysis platform, microsurgical services and various devices for analyzing physiological and metabolic parameters. ZIRP supports researchers already during the stage of study planning, assisting them in selecting suitable methods and creating SOPs, score sheets, and animal experiment applications. During the implementation of the study, certain parts or techniques of the experiment (e.g. blood sampling, injections, operations) can be performed by ZIRP staff. ZIRP also conducts its own studies for improving experimental conditions and offers practical training courses in small groups on the methods and techniques it offers.
